Presented alongside the new EU–Ukraine Defence Industrial Partnership, the initiative establishes a long-term framework for joint production, technology transfer, investment and industrial integration between Ukrainian and European defence companies.
As one of the founding members, UFORCE will contribute its operational expertise and battlefield-proven capabilities to a new generation of collaborative European defence programmes. The initiative brings together leading defence companies from across the EU and Ukraine. It will interact closely with the EU Member State-led Priority Capability Coalition, to accelerate the development and production of next-generation drone and counter-drone systems, while strengthening Europe’s collective defence readiness.
The Drone Alliance is designed to combine Ukraine’s combat-tested innovation with Europe’s industrial capacity, creating joint ventures that will rapidly scale production, enhance technology transfer, and expand defence manufacturing across both Ukraine and EU Member States.
The announcement is part of a broader package unveiled by the European Commission, which includes:
“Being selected as a founding member of the EU–Ukraine Drone Alliance reflects the growing recognition of Ukraine’s defence technology ecosystem and its role in shaping Europe’s future security architecture. UFORCE is committed to building long-term industrial partnerships that transform battlefield experience into scalable capabilities for allied nations.” - Oleksiy Honcharuk, Chairman UFORCE.
The partnership represents another significant milestone in integrating Ukraine’s defence industry into the European defence ecosystem, reinforcing joint production, investment and innovation as essential pillars of European security.
